Communications and Channel Coordinator |
| Description: |
The Communications and Channel Coordinator will provide administrative and project support to the Communications and Channel Development Teams. Team activities focus primarily in the areas of public relations and interaction with the processing, retail and foodservice sectors. |

| Responsibilities: |
Include the following:
- Administrative and coordination support for team projects and core programs. Act as liaison/facilitate information flow between internal teams. Coordination and compiles reports to stakeholders including funders, producers and government, highlighting BIC activities/effectiveness and program development.
- Event management for trade seminars and producer shows including venue coordination, agendas, notices/invitations, follow-up. Provide ongoing project administration support for program managers.
- Coordinates and helps manage the various department budgets including processing of invoices, cheque requisitions and updating of budget spreadsheets.
- Updates and maintains the databases for various e-mail distribution lists. Formats, prepares and distributes communications to the various lists as required.
- Other duties and responsibilities as required.

Include:
- A self-starter who displays independent judgment to plan, prioritize and organize workload
- Is detail oriented and able to meet deadlines consistently
- Has excellent interpersonal, time management, organization and multi-tasking skills
- Has strong written/verbal communication and computer skills (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook etc.)
- Works well in a team environment

Stakeholder Communications Manager |
| Description: |
As a member of the Communications and Public Affairs Team, the Stakeholder Communications Manager will play a critical role in maintaining and increasing the support and understanding of BIC programs and initiatives with key audiences including industry and government stakeholders and investors. |

| Responsibilities: |
Include the following:
- The Stakeholder Communications Manager will design and implement communication programs for key audiences critical to the success of the Beef Information Centre.
- The Stakeholder Communications Manager will work across BIC teams to capture and communicate the value of BIC programs and initiatives to industry and government stakeholders and investors.
- The Stakeholder Communications Manager will work closely with producer associations and agricultural media to communicate corporate messaging.
- The Stakeholder Communications Manager will execute a broad range of duties including: communication program design, implementation and analysis; writing and design of electronic and print materials; agricultural media relations; management of program budgets and tendering and oversight of project contractors and service venders.

| Qualifications/ Skills |
Include:
- Degree or diploma in communications or public relations.
- Three to four years of prior work experience.
- Experience in developing communication programs and strategies.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Expertise with design and desktop publishing tools.
- Excellent organizational skills demonstrated through successful planning, execution and follow-up.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with others on a daily basis.
- Experience working with media and making presentations.
- Ability to manage budgets.
- Knowledge and awareness of agriculture and the agri-food industry an asset.
