This stew-like minestrone is hearty enough to be a main course. It’s a soup that both kids and parents will love.

sodium reduced beef broth |
| 1 can (19 oz/540 mL) |
Italian-style stewed tomatoes |
| 1 cup (175 mL) |
small pasta, such as alphabet or stellette |
| ¼ tsp (1 mL) |
EACH salt and pepper |
| 1 cup (250 mL) |
frozen Big Batch Ground Beef |
| 1 cup 250 mL) |
frozen mixed vegetables |
| ½ cup (125 mL) |
kidney beans, drained and rinsed |
- Combine broth, tomatoes, pasta, and salt and pepper in large saucepan. Bring to boil; reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Stir in frozen Big Batch Ground Beef, vegetables and kidney beans.
- Cook until heated through, about 4 minutes.
